Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda

Happy Christmas and New Year

The present Woking Welsh Society was founded in about 1947, and we believe this was a resurrection of a pre-war society.

Our aim is to promote and encourage Welsh cultural and social activities and friendship within and around the Woking area and surrounding areas. We meet monthly in Woking except for July. Meetings encompass a broad range of topics usually having a Welsh theme. Our events vary year by year depending on what the membership prefers. Oh, the pub features periodically too! We are mostly relaxed and casual however we do like to celebrate St David's Day with a formal dinner dance and Church Service.

Aside from our fixed events we also arrange ad-hoc visits to the theatre, and external music evenings, especially if the performers are Welsh . Occasionally we arrange day visits to special attractions.
